Samar National School of Arts and Trades Holds 4th Commencement Exercises with the Theme: “TVET Graduates: Equipped and Empowered to Strengthen the Future”
On September 11, 2024, Samar National School of Arts and Trades (SNSAT) proudly celebrated its 4th Commencement Exercises at the SNSAT Function Hall. The theme “TVET Graduates: Equipped and Empowered to Strengthen the Future” marked a significant milestone for the institution and its graduates.
During the ceremony, 17 students from the Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Technology and 17 students from the Diploma in Civil Technology were conferred their diplomas. TESDA Region 8 Regional Director, RD Dan M. Navarro, graced the event and commended the graduates for their hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout their academic journey.
The Commencement Speaker, Mr. Alexander V. Balmes, an SNSAT alumnus and now a BDO Branch Manager, delivered an inspiring message to the graduates. He emphasized the importance of hard work, perseverance, and prayer in achieving one’s goals.
Distinguished guests in attendance included TESDA-Eastern Samar Provincial Director, Dr. Antonio C. Waniwan, Engr. Diego Tabaquero, Mr. Khyle A. Ty (representative of Taft Mayor Gina A. Ty), and Engr. Leonardo D. Amores (SNSAT Alumni President).
The ceremony also featured the awarding of academic and special honors to 1st and 2nd-year diploma students, followed by the distribution of training certificates to graduates of various short-term programs, including Massage Therapy NC II (20), Cookery NC II (20), and Dressmaking NC II (24).
This milestone marks the culmination of years of academic pursuit and hands-on training, equipping graduates with the skills necessary to thrive in their respective industries.
