Frequently Asked Questions:
What is a PTSO?
A Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO) is a group of parents and school staff that works together to support the school community. PTSOs help fund school programs, coordinate volunteers, and strengthen the overall school environment through collaboration and community involvement.
What does your PTSO do?
They assist administration in supporting school activities and events through monetary donations raised through the PTSO general fund, organize and coordinate volunteers, and help support a wide range of community building events for the Tappan community.
How does your PTSO raise money?
Our main source of funding is received from Tappan families contributing directly to our general fund. In addition, we have two annual fundraisers, Fall Festival in October and Tappan Players Spring Production, as well as
community partnerships and proceeds from our school store and concession sales.
