About Me

This is currently my fourth year teaching 6th grade. Prior, I was a 3rd grade teacher for five years. I am now in my eighteenth year at Taconic Hills Central School District. During my years at TH, I have been an enrichment teacher, facilitator of the high school to elementary school mentoring program, drama coach for the elementary, middle, and high school, and even the elementary school dean.

I am a firm believer that children should develop their social and peer relationships just as much as their academics in order to be well rounded individuals. I enjoy a classroom filled with positive energy, respect, discussion, smiles, and fun...When those occur, the learning occurs.

My hobbies include walking, biking, playing basketball and baseball with my children, and assorted and random home projects. I enjoy technology and often will spend my “quiet” time reading news stories online or downloading and listening to music.
