The SWR5 Cross Country team won the SWCL championship on Saturday, October 24! There were six runners in the top 15 on the boys team. Three of the girls running were in the top 15 also and received all-conference medals.

Thursday, October 22, three Southwest FFA members competed in the Area Fall Public Speaking contest. Laney Moore placed first in Missouri Soil and Water. Allen Hendrix placed as an alternate in Missouri Young Farmers/Young Farm Wives. Ty Howard placed second in Missouri Cattlemens.

Laney and Ty will be advancing to Districts.
