As we continually strive to prepare our students for a complex world, there is an even greater need to develop their knowledge and skills to tackle tough problems by gathering information, evaluating it, and presenting effective solutions.
Though we have made progress, there a still few students who are proficient in the core subjects of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and even fewer express interest in pursuing these fields beyond high school.
With this in mind, it is our mission to seek hands-on, sustainable, and cost-effective approaches to help engage our students and maintain their interest in the STEM Pipeline from elementary through high school, and beyond.
Introducing a Robotics Club to students at the elementary level establishes a solid foundation in STEM education, and encourages important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-based organization. This year our schools will be participating in the TCEA Area Robotics Competition test their skills against other teams in the surrounding area. To learn more, please click the link above.
