Literacy Google Classroom:
All students are entered into their assigned Google Classroom. Assignments and resources will be posted on the classwork tab/stream.

Similarly to elementary school, students at the intermediate level follow the Literacy Collaborative framework in the literacy classroom. The basics of this framework includes:
Participating in interactive read alouds and reading and writing minilessons
Participating in reading and writing workshop - this includes participating in book clubs and conferring about reading and writing
Reading and reflecting using "just right" books
Working in guided reading/writing groups to address more individual literacy needs
Word study
At the intermediate level, students are developing and building on their reading skills. The best way to do this is regularly read a variety of text at their "just right" level. Students will be using their "just right" independent reading books, class read alouds, mentor texts, texts from guided reading groups, readers and writers notebooks, as well as other materials during class instruction and homework.
