What's Going on at GCHS?

  • FAFSA Day - Sunday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. Central Crossing will be hosting FAFSA day.  This opportunity is for seniors and their families to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). There will be college financial aid advisors on hand to help families through the process. You can register here for this event. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov for more information.
  • PSAT/NMSQT Testing Wednesday, October 10th is the national PSAT testing date.  The cost of the test is $16 and must be turned in to Sandy Straight in the main office by September 12th.  Students will be given a practice packet and informational handout about two weeks from testing.
  • Parent/Teacher Conferences (October 18th) - Mark your calendars for October 18th to talk with your child's teachers about their progress.  Contact Janie Wemlinger at geri.huygen@swcsd.us to schedule conferences.  She will need to know what time you are available and what teachers you would like to meet with.
  • Junior ACT Test All Junior students will be taking the ACT test during school on February 20, 2019.  Attendance on this day for Juniors is IMPERATIVE.  Students will be registered at GCHS, so do not try to register online.
  • Financial Aid - The SWCSD Financial Aid Night will be held at GCHS on October 18th at 6:30pm.   If you would like additional information on financial aid, please view the PowerPoint attached at the bottom of this web page.  The FAFSA becomes available on October 1st for current seniors.

  • Naviance Days Grove City High School will hold Naviance Day for Freshmen on November 28th, Sophomores on November 29th, and Juniors on November 30th.  The goal of the event is to actively involve students with their college and career exploration and goal setting.  As a reminder, all guardians have access to Naviance Student as well.  Contact your student's School Counselor for your login credentials.

  • Naviance Students of all four grade levels & their parents are encouraged to login often to Naviance at student.naviance.com/grovecityhs.  Naviance is a college & career readiness website with limitless tools for students' self-exploration.  If you do not know your login credentials, reach out to your child's School Counselor.
