LOCAL WORK GROUP

Local Work Group Meeting Friday, February 20, 2026, at The Landing at Myers Park

The Collin County Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Directors invites interested stakeholders to participate in their Local Work Group Meeting on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Myers Park, McKinney.  Local input is needed to help determine local natural resource priorities for USDA-NRCS and CCSWCD conservation program planning.  Feature programs will include Lonestar Healthy Streams by Leann Wiley. Lauren Plunk, Watershed Manager with North Texas Municipal Water District, will provide updates on the Lavon Lake Watershed Workplan, and Galen Roberts, NTMWD, and Audrey Guesler Klump, Halff Associates, will discuss Texas's Region 3 Flood Planning Group.

The Board of Directors are asking producers to join city staff, county staff, NTMWD, partner agencies and elected officials to participate in this meeting.  This event is free, and lunch will be provided.  Plan to join us beginning at 8:30 am for registration.  The program will begin at 9:00 am and end after lunch around 1:30 pm.
