Research Projects

The research in this laboratory is guided by the following philosophy: Interaction is a hallmark of intelligence. By interaction we mean physical contact interaction of a robot with its surroundings as well as non-physical social interaction among robots as well as AI software agents and humans. Therefore, we have a variety of research endeavors ranging from problems of low level contact interaction control between a robot and its surroundings to high level cooperation and coordination among teams of robots as well as mathematical models of cooperation and conflict in human societies.
