Week 1
WALHT: How to sequence our day through reading stories and activities.
Reflect: Make meaning through retelling and ordering of pictures that go with the story. Also using puppets to act out the story.
Poems:
Wash the dishes, dry the dishes What does the cat say? I can tie my shoelaces,
turn the dishes over. Meow, meow. I can brush my hair,
Shake the blanket, What does the dog say? I can wash my face and hands,
shake the blanket, Bow, wow. and dry myself with care.
turn the mattress over. What does the donkey say?
Hee, haw. I can clean my teeth too,
What does the crow say? and fasten my frocks,
Caw, caw. I can dress all by myself,
What does the farmer say? and pull up both my socks.
Shoo, shoo.
Week 2
WALHT: Sequence how we get dressed. What comes first,second, next, last.
Reflect:Dress our puppets in the right order discussing why you put these in that order.
Week 3-5
WALHT: Make good food choices, what foods are healthy for us? How often should we have treat food?
Reflect:
Week 6:
WALHT: Sequence through stories, what comes first, second, next, last
Reflect: through story retelling by role play and putting the picture sequence in the right order,justifying our choices by sharing why we think they go in that order.
Games and art our understanding of what we have been reading.
Week 7-10:
Making Caterpillar storybook, colouring in the pictures then sticking them in the right place to retell the story. Also we have re read the story adding descriptive language to describe what we think of the food. Eg: delicious pears, yummy apples, sticky lollipop etc. Talking about what food would be good for us to eat everyday, and what foods are good to eat occassionly.
