Art Rockets Summer Camp MAY 27-30
Chinese New Year is a 15-day festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional Chinese calendar. The calendar is based on the lunar cycle and therefore falls on a different date each year. 2020 is the year of the rat; celebrations begin January 25th and end on February 8th.
New experiences in art help students to develop a deep sense of respect for other cultures, beliefs, and customs. This project aims to instill a sense of cultural sensitivity in our students and help them realize that we are all humans despite our differences. Cultural sensitivity is a set of skills enabling students to understand people who are different from themselves, thereby becoming better global citizens.
