Seesaw

Overview

Seesaw is an online tool for teachers and students to record and share what's happening in the classroom. Seesaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative, and learn how to use technology.

Student Access to Seesaw

    • Students can access Seesaw using Windows, Chrome OS, Mac, iOS, and Android.

    • We ask that students always first log in to ClassLink using the student's Google Account. More information can be found in the Google Account for Students page.

    • From ClassLink, students will find and tap/click the Seesaw app on the dashboard. Student should be automatically logged in.

    • If you are using an iOS or Android device, you will be prompted to download the Seesaw app. Or you can download it at either the App Store or Google Play.


Family Access to Seesaw

  • Your child’s teacher will send you a link that will connect parents to your child’s Seesaw journal.

  • Once you visit the link, please tap your student’s name.

  • You will be asked to confirm your child’s name. Click OK.

  • You will be prompted to create a parent account. You may also sign in with your personal Google account.

  • After successful completion, you will be informed that teachers will need to approve access to your child’s Seesaw journal. Click OK.

  • For iOS and Android access, please download the Seesaw Family mobile app on the App Store or Google Play - for parents

Tips for Teachers

Change the Display Name for students. This will help sort your class by last name. In your Seesaw class, In your Seesaw class:

      • Go to the Wrench, Manage Students

      • Select a student

      • Select Display Name

      • Edit the name however you wish but this could work: Smith, Joe vs. Joe Smith

      • Click the back arrow twice and repeat for each student.
