Welcome,
I am Mrs. Rhona Buchta, the middle school Language Arts/Literature teacher and 6th grade Homeroom teacher for this 2025-26 school year. My husband is an online entrepreneur, and we have three children. Our oldest daughter is a graphic designer for a public library, our younger daughter is married to the love of her life, and she is a freelance painter while doing cosmetology on the side, and our son is studying Architecture at UW Milwaukee while interning at Froedert Hospital. We have also been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter who definitely has all of our hearts. All three have graduated from SJS just as I had. I truly believe that St. Joe’s has given my children the gift to handle academic rigor, understand character and integrity, and, most importantly, have contributed to their Catholic faith.
As a parent myself, I know that your pride and joy are entering my classroom every day, and I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to be their teacher. I will, with our Lord’s guidance, teach, inspire, motivate, and encourage your child. I promise to share my faith with your child and do what is best for their learning. It may not always look like what your child feels is ideal, but it will be what is best for them to further their academic career and Catholic faith life.
Every educational journey does not happen alone- WE need to work together as a team! Each child’s success involves a guiding adult’s enthusiasm, support, and involvement that inspires him/her to do their best; and a teacher's passion to teach what they need to learn. Together, we can achieve progress and learning.
I believe that clear communication is an essential tool for everyone involved. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, comments, or concerns through email at rbuchta@stjosephfort.org.
Thank you, for your commitment to your child's education and success. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this year!
Blessings,
Mrs. Rhona Buchta

"There is surely no instant recipe, no quick path, no magic touch to get there. Yet, educators and parents have the beautiful and irreplaceable duty to open and to inspire young eyes to these sublime realities…
Definitely, there cannot be true education without the steady and tireless education of the heart. Or, more precisely, as St John Bosco used to say… Education is a matter of the heart."
