Meet Your Librarian

Kristena Rudloff, Librarian

I grew up on a dairy farm outside Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, a small town on the Mississippi River. I attended Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, where I earned honors bachelor of arts degrees in history and psychology.

After college, I moved to Normal, Illinois and went to graduate school at Illinois State University. I earned a master’s degree in clinical-counseling psychology and became an Illinois licensed clinical professional counselor. I worked for a few years as a teen and family counselor in community mental health agencies.

In 2007, I moved to Oklahoma when my husband joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University. I worked at Stillwater High School's library while completing a master of education degree in library and instructional media at the University of Central Oklahoma. In 2010, I finished that degree and began working as a Library Media Specialist at a public high school in Oklahoma City. I came to Stillwater Junior High in 2015 and I love the SJHS community! I enjoy meeting our students, parents, and teachers, and making the SJHS library a fun and comfortable place to learn.

In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and sons, and read a lot (of course!). I also crochet, quilt, visit my seven siblings, and hang out with my cat. Reading is my favorite pastime, and I love it when students stop by the media center to introduce themselves or talk about books.
