ALL MONEY MUST COME TO SCHOOL IN A ZIPLOC BAG OR ENVELOPE - MARKED WITH STUDENT NAME, GRADE, AND WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR! THANK YOU! NO EXCEPTIONS.
FACT FLUENCY: For the next several weeks of school, our drills will focus on subtraction facts - 50 facts, 2 minutes. Please continue to practice all operations with your child, especially multiplication and division facts. We will be working with fractions throughout the months of January and February. The children who are successful in the fractions unit most often are the ones who know their multiplication and division facts well.
JACKETS AND COATS: When the temperature is above freezing, we still go outside for recess twice per day. Please be SURE that your child brings/wears a coat or jacket to school EVERY DAY. I have explained to the children that if they do not have a coat/jacket, they will sit in the office during recess and bring home a uniform infraction to be signed by a parent. Students were also reminded that they may not take off their jackets and throw them on the blacktop during outdoor recess unless the adults at school feel it is warm enough and grant permission. This will also result in a uniform infraction.
