Welcome to 4th Grade!

A little bit about me:

My name is Kristine Allen.  I have been teaching in Catholic schools since 1991.  I have taught both Kindergarten and fourth grade.  I am also a product of Catholic schools.  I attended Shrine of the Little Flower School, The Catholic High School of Baltimore, and Loyola University (back when it was still called Loyola College!).  I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola in English Literature, with a minor in Photography.  After deciding to teach, I continued my education at Loyola to earn my certification.  I have also completed many post graduate credits over the years since then. I have two children, Joseph (age 22) and Kimberly (age 18).  Joe got married this Fall to his high school sweetheart. Kimberly still lives at home with me and attends HCC to study Art Education.  Kim and I have three cats, Chester, Fluff, and a new rescue, Elvira (as in Mistress of the Dark!) They add lots of joy, love, and laughter to our days with their feline antics! In my classroom, I place emphasis on respect and personal responsibility, but also on joy and laughter as we learn.  I am happy to work with your child and you this school year.
