Book orders will be sent home with your child each month. You may place your order by sending in a check or money order made payable to Scholastic.
Our classroom earns bonus points for every book purchased through Scholastic. I use these points to add new and exciting books to our classroom library for all of our students to enjoy!

Goldilocks tried the three bears' porridge, chairs, and beds. She kept trying until she found the ones that were "just right" for her. Books work the same way!
A "Just Right" book is one that your child can read independently. It is not too difficult and not too easyβit is a book that is the perfect fit for your child as a reader.

Help your child choose a "Just Right" book by trying this strategy:
Have your child read the first page of the book.
Count the number of words they do not know.
If your child finds five or more unknown words, the book may be too challenging right now.
If a book is too difficult, enjoy reading it together! With practice and support, your child will continue to grow as a confident reader.
