Aquatic therapy with robotic support can play a key role in post-trauma rehabilitation – including musculoskeletal injuries, joint issues, and post-viral conditions such as Long COVID.
Patients suffering from fatigue, reduced performance, dyspnea, chest or joint pain have shown positive responses to water-based exercise protocols. Based on these observations, Swissrehamed explores new hypotheses around robotic aquatic therapy – aiming to improve recovery outcomes and perceived quality of life.
Our tests with injured individuals – including those in occupational rehab programs – have delivered encouraging results. In collaboration with institutions like SUVA and with clinical support from professionals such as Thim van der Laan, we continue to investigate how our modular training systems can support recovery and reintegration.
