1. Read the excerpt form FDR's "Four Freedoms" speech on p. 399 of your textbook, respond to the following prompt:
In your own words explain what FDR meant by the “Four Freedoms.” How well do you think our society has met this ideal? How are those freedoms being impacted by events of today. Use specific examples (about 200 words).
2. Using the packet of information provided in class, create an annotated timeline of US involvement in WWII (Specific instructions provided below in the file titled "US Involvement in WWII Timeline."
3. Watch the documentary film: The Century, America's Time: Homefront (about 45 minutes). Take notes on the film using the document provided below in the file titled "Homefront Video Study Guide."
4. Imagine yourself as a person who was on the "inside" of the US WWII home front experience. On the back of your note-taking sheet write a diary entry that this person might have written at the time. Be sure to include an appropriate historical date, and make it clear who you are.
