Debate

There are four main categories in debate: Policy Debate (CX), Lincoln-Douglas (LD), Current Events Debate (PF), and Interp. Interp consists of a variety of areas such as poetry, drama, duet, humor, and student congress. In student congress, the students write bills and debate them.

Students in debate travel a lot throughout the season, in Wyoming and South Dakota. Since the debaters consist of both males and females, coach Bob Speirs says that it "promotes responsible behavior among young people."
