-Essay Revision, to be marked/noted on Draft 1, which is handwritten.
1) Reverse Outline. Mark in your essay each of the parts of your outline. In other words, label your essay with the outline numerals and numbers and letters that correspond in order to be sure you've included everything and that you actually followed your outline.
2) Check paragraph development (are all of your paragraphs fully developed?)
3) Circle the specific details you have used. Key concepts, names, dates, terms, examples, etc.
4) Add notes in margins for additional ideas and details.
5) Introduction: Underline your lead-in. Underline your thesis. What is your thesis? Is it interesting? Insightful? Complex? Specific/detailed?
6) Conclusion: Interesting? Insightful? Complex? Specific/detailed? Underline an example that you used that relates to today.
After doing the above, revise your draft 1 essay, adding further examples, details, analysis, and evaluation. Then type up your essay with those changes for Draft 2.
