-Essay Revision, to be marked/noted on Draft 1, which is handwritten. 30 points total.
1) Reverse Outline. Mark in your essay each of the parts of your outline. In other words, label your essay with the outline numerals and numbers and letters that correspond in order to be sure you've included everything and that you actually followed your outline. Check that all paragraphs are fully developed. (5 points)
2) Circle the specific details you have used. Key concepts, names, dates, terms, examples, etc. (5 points)
3) Add at least 5 specific details in margins ON EACH PAGE. (10 points)
4) Introduction: Underline your lead-in. Underline your thesis. What is your thesis? Is it interesting? Insightful? Complex? Specific/detailed? (5 points)
5) Conclusion: Interesting? Insightful? Complex? Specific/detailed? Underline an example that you used that relates to today. (5 points)
After doing the above, revise your draft 1 essay by expanding where necessary and adding the examples and details you noted in the margins, and being sure you have a specific example in your conclusion. Then type up your essay with those changes for Draft 2.
