Expressive Typography
Incorporate expressive text and type treatment to convey a mood/feeling for the music/performance. Arrange the type elements into the artwork
1.•Create a name for your music festival...For example BLUE GRASS FESTIVAL OF THE SMOKIE MOUNTAINS or Headbanging Bash of LA
2.•Include the name of the festival, where it will be held, the city, the time, and other details. SEE EXAMPLES
3.•Include the name(s) of the performer(s). THIS can be real or fake names/bands
4.•Your choices for the typefaces and arrangement should enhance the feeling of the style of music.
5.•In arranging the typographic elements, consider the principles of good graphic design, such as contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity.
Format:
1.•Save the document as “concert yourlastname.”
2.•If working in Photoshop, the image should be at least letter-size at 300 ppi.
3.•If working in Illustrator, the image should be at least letter-size (8.5 x 11”).

Grading Criteria
Create a name......10
Included name, city, location, date, ect. .....10
Created the name of the performers ......10
