Residential Faculty Agreement 2024/2025
To Review: Article 18 - Residential Faculty Evaluation Plan for Core Work Improvement
When: Faculty Evaluation Plans (FEPs) are due:
Every 3 years
By June 30th of that academic year
Who: Appointive Residential Faculty
FEP Notification: In the early fall of each academic, faculty who are due to write their FEP are contacted by the Faculty Developer, Dean of Academics, and/or Division Chair to begin the FEP writing process.
If you are on leave/sabbatical, have a reassigned position, and/or you missed your deadline, check the FAQ page.
Directions for Google Drive:
Copy the Faculty Evaluation Plan (FEP) Summary Sheet to Google Drive
Save the copied document to your drive OR allow the document to autosave.
Rename your FEP using this format:
FEP_Lastname,Firstname_AY24/25
Complete all areas of the FEP. Remember to provide given examples and a thorough explanation of how you grew as an educator.
5. Share to the following individuals for endorsement
Faculty Developer
FEP Committee Member (chosen by you)
A third professional colleague within the college
**If you choose, you are welcome to submit it to the Dean of Innovation and/or Vice President of Academic Affairs.
To complete an FEP, each Appointive Faculty member must engage in a self-examination of the three Required Areas and at least two of the Elective Areas. Examples of the following areas can be found in the Faculty Evaluation Plan guidelines.
Required Areas:
Teaching, Learning, and/or Service
Course Assessment and/or Program Development/Revision
Governance and/or Committee Participation at the College and/or District levels
Elective Areas:
Professional Development
Acquisition of New Skills
Enhancement of Diversity and Inclusion
College Level Assessment of Learning Outcomes
Service to the Community
Related Areas: In addition to an assessment of these “Three Required Areas and Two Elective Areas,” other “Related Areas” may also be selected by the Appointive Faculty member to review, in order to bring into better focus their full professional involvement at the College or within the MCCCD. See the FEP guidelines for examples.
Residential Faculty are committed to quality teaching and instruction and are employed to provide professional services to students, colleagues and the MCCCD Residential Faculty support and implement the following self-evaluation policies and procedures. The objectives of The Faculty Evaluation Plan for Instructional Improvement (FEP) are:
To improve teaching performance.
To advise Residential Faculty members regularly and specifically of their strengths and weaknesses, progress, and overall status.
To maintain continuity with advances in the respective disciplines.
To continually seek effective and updated methodologies, the application of which provide increased comprehension of the discipline.
