Welcome Fifth Graders!
I am so excited to start this new year with you! Fifth grade is a fun year with more freedoms and also responsibilities. You are expected to be role models of this school, and therefore will have high expectations for your behavior. I've heard positive things about you from your fourth grade teachers, so I am sure you will rise to the occasion! Just a reminder that you will be in my class most of the day, but you will also be switching to Ms. Pitino's class for Math and Mrs. Raczynski's class for Science and Social Studies. Please relax and enjoy the rest of your summer: sleep in, play outside, visit friends, and enjoy your family! Our first day of school is Thursday, August 31st. When you come in, the fifth grade teachers will give you all the information you need to know about our classes, switching, and school supplies.
I look forward to seeing all of you in my class on the first day!
