This week is Dr. Suess' birthday week! We have been celebrating his legacy by having a Wacky Wednesday, a Crazy Sock Day, and tomorrow is pajama day.
This weekend was the Robotics Competition for the robotics team. All of the teams were in the top 8 out of 28 finishers.
Yesterday was a math quiz. Then we watched a creepy Dr. Suess movie. We also did a Dr. Suess word search.
In writing, we have been debating about many subjects. Soon, we will start drafting essays based on our opinions. We have been doing both Secondary and Primary research. Our topics are Extreme Sports, Zoos, Captive Orcas, Plastic, and Space VS. Underwater. In reading we are doing a very similar type of work with our topics.
In science, we are learning about convex and concave lenses, and how light passes through these lenses.
Upcoming events: On March 12, the robotics team will be competing in another competition. Also, our Invention Convention and Science Fair projects will be due soon, and we will have the science fair.
