TQ Course Information

ALERT: Beginning October 1, 2026 courses from Idaho State University will no longer be eligible for TQ funds

There will again be an opportunity for teacher quality funding to support your professional learning this year. 

As was the case last year, there will be one window for teacher quality funds to support coursework this year. This window will extend across the school year (August 24, 2026-August 23, 2027).

There is a $525 limit for teacher quality funding during this timeframe. In order to be eligible for TQ funding, an application must be submitted and approved. Each teacher may submit one TQ course application during the 2026-2027 school year.  Courses that are credit-bearing are eligible for TQ funding. 

Both your application and timesheet will be completed in LaserFiche forms, found on mySEP under 'Frequently Accessed Websites'. 

Guidelines

• Submit your application PRIOR to taking the course (Laserfiche Form)

• Courses that are credit-bearing are eligible for TQ funding.

• You may be reimbursed for 1 course per year for up to 15 hours., If the course is more than 15 hours, only submit the 15.

• All submitted times must be outside of contract hours

• Submit your transcript and/or verification of course completion with your payroll sheet

• Please submit your timesheet within one month of completing the course.

FAQ's Related to TQ Funding

Q: What is the window for TQ Funding?

A: The window extends across the school year.  The course must begin between August 24, 2026 and August 23, 2027. 

Q: Do I need to submit a form for approval prior to the course starting?

A: Yes.

Q: I no longer need any credits to renew my license.  May I still apply for TQ funding.

A: Yes.  Courses that are credit-bearing are eligible for TQ funding.  You need not apply for the credit to receive the funds.

Q: How many courses may I take?

A: You may submit one course a year for TQ funding. 

Q: If the course I applied for gets cancelled, may I substitute another course?

A: Yes.  You may contact Brittany Kunz with information on the new course.
