6th Grade Choir

The 6th Grade choir is a non-auditioned choir which meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and every Friday for 37 minute rehearsals. Students continue their work on developing sight reading and ear training skills and apply musical knowledge in reading choral scores. Students will study musical genres, cultural and historical information as well as composers as related to musical selections. Students will develop a working musical vocabulary, sing settings of harmony and develop/practice healthy vocal production. Students will receive small group lesson instruction once each month and perform in 3 concerts during the school year.
