Join the Lab!

Updated: 6/18/2024

I welcome graduate and undergraduate students into my laboratory if you have interest in learning more about the biochemistry of microbes. Research projects are available to study glutathione-dependent pathogenesis of Streptococcus agalactiae (Group B Streptococcus, GBS) and antibiotic discovery and biotherapeutics against multiple drug resistant bacteria

Prospective Graduate Students

Here at SLU, we recruit students directly into our department and lab. If my work interests you, please contact me and apply to the graduate program in the Biology department. For more information about the graduate program in Biology, please visit: http://bio.slu.edu/grad.html . For more information about graduate studies at SLU, please visit: this website. My lab is accepting applications for admission for the fall of 2025

Undergraduate Research Experience

If you are an interested current SLU undergraduate, please contact me to set up a meeting to discuss your interests. My lab is currently full, but I am always looking to talk to interested students for the future. I'll have openings for one or two undergraduates in the fall of 2025. (Pre-req: Biology major, Pre-req/Co-req: BIOL 3020).

Postdoc Opportunities

If you are a graduating PhD student, and are interested in doing postdoctoral research in my lab, please contact me to discuss opportunities, your goals, and funding opportunities. I currently don't have funding for a postdoc, but still welcome the conversation.
