Snowdonia, January 2011

A chilly but mostly dry weekend at Tan Y Garth in Capel Curig.

The group split up for a variety of different activities - walking, scrambling and ice/snow climbing in the local area.

Evenings were spent in the warm lounge of the hut with some escaping to the nearby Tyn Y Coed pub for dinner and beers. For once there was little complaint about the temperature of the hut and the recently renovated showers were appreciated by all!

Guest for the weekend Steve spent much of his time with club member Richard poring over maps of the Alps in preparation for their participation in this year's Red Bull XAlps race - good luck to both.
