Mock Trial

Objection, your honor! Mock Trial is a competitive after-school club that meets from August through February. Students work with actual attorneys, judges, and other legal-field professionals to prepare a case as lawyers and witnesses. Students develop public speaking and critical thinking skills, while building close bonds with teammates. In February, the team will compete against other schools in the county competition at the San Luis Obispo courthouse. Students in grades 6-8 are welcome to attend, but the final team for competition may need to be determined by audition and participation. The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3-4:00 in room G2 with moderator Mr. Waldman.
