About Mr Waldman

Namaste!

I grew up in Sleepy Hollow, New York, went to high school in New York City, and to Colby College in Maine. In college, I met Andrea, a wonderful person from San Luis Obispo county (I place that I'd never heard of). We hiked around Maine, and studied abroad in Nepal. After college I followed her west and married her! My wife and I have since lived in Oregon, New Mexico and now, in beautiful Los Osos, California.

I earned my Master's Degree in Teaching from Lewis & Clark College (Portland, OR), and I've taught Secondary Language Arts and Social Studies since 2005. I've taught high school history, and middle school English for most of my teaching career.

This is my fifth year teaching at LOMS. I am thrilled to be part of such an excellent school with such excellent students!

When I'm not teaching, I'm exploring our amazing world with my wife and two children. I enjoy running, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. I also love reading. Some of my favorite authors are Walter Dean Myers, Lois Lowry, Lemony Snicket, and Francisco Jimenez.
