Clubs

JDCHS has a number of clubs for students interested in STEM activities. We encourage all students to join one of our fun and intellectually stimulating extracurricular groups! For information about the following clubs, please email the club advisor.

• Science Olympiad: Science Olympiad is a team that competes against other high schools in the state, in events pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Advisors: Ms. Nikki Wyman and Mrs. Willie Chen
• Pre-Med Club: Pre-Med Club is a group of students interested in medical careers. The club attends functions at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Advisor: Dr. Christine Celestino
• Environmental Club and Recycling Club: The Environmental Club promotes awareness and sustainable practices on the Skaggs campus. The club engages in fundraisers and an annual movie screening. The Recycling Club volunteers to run the recycling program at JDCHS. Both clubs are advised by Mr. Gregg Alex
• Sci-Fi Club: The Sci-Fi Club meets after school to play board games and share an interest in Sci-Fi and Fantasy. They are advised by Ms. Beth Bernards
