The San José State University Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Training Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). In accordance with NAACLS Standard IV.A.1.d, the program publishes outcome measures to ensure transparency for prospective and enrolled students. These data summarize certification pass rates, graduation rates, and employment placement rates for the most recent three years, as verified through the annual report submitted to NAACLS. Results consistently exceed NAACLS minimum benchmarks for accredited programs.
Reporting Year: July 1 – June 30
Outcome data reflect graduates from the reporting year cohort and are calculated in accordance with NAACLS reporting definitions.
The program evaluates its effectiveness through established benchmark goals. The following benchmarks guide the program's continuous quality improvement process:

Attrition Benchmark: ≤ 20%
Graduate Satisfaction Benchmark: ≥ 80% “satisfied” or higher
Employer Satisfaction Benchmark: ≥ 80% “satisfied” or higher
