Music Technology and Composition has been offered as an elective at SCS in previous years. Even though we won't be having it as an in-person elective, I will offer extra curricular assignments for interested students roughly every two weeks!

MTC uses Soundtrap, an online, cloud-based digital audio workstation. Soundtrap allows students to upload, edit, and remix MIDI files, as well as record themselves and alter the sounds. It also includes a pattern maker for drums, in which the students can create their own drum beats.

Students will be provided with video demos, walkthroughs, and a variety of music to experiment with. All assignments will issue various challenges, restrictions, or requirements that the student will need to account for during their work, much like a music producer would when working with other musicians. All work that the students wish to display will be made available on our school's Soundcloud page.
