The month of March was an exciting time for kindergarten.  We practiced typing on typetastic and we played a fun reading game called teach your monster to read.  During the month of March we talked about pushes and pulls all around.

1st Grade

The months of March and April were very exciting during library time.   First graders at BHS also worked on improving our computer skills by working  these websitesTypetastic, Teach Your Monster to read, Submarine Spelling, Keyboarding Zoo, and Sight Word Bingo and Dance Mat Typing

During the month of April we talked about how we can help keep the earth clean and we will study our playground.  Students had to pick out a new piece of equipment that they wanted for the BHS playground.  In these lessons students learned how to use pebble go for research and to take notes.

Students in second grade have begun a research project on a nonfiction topic of their choosing.  In this project students have to research their topic and take notes on it.  Students will be using PebbleGo to learn about their topic.  They are also going to have to create a presentation on their topic and present it to the class

Students in third and fourth grade are beginning to work on their passion projects.  To begin this project students had to choose a topic that interest them and then create subtopics that they want to learn about.  In this unit students will learn how to research online, evaluate websites, take notes, create a proper presentation and teach the class about their project .  This project will wrap up in May when they present their findings.
