Pick a close-up portrait you have taken this year. Make sure it has good resolution and is sharp. Follow the steps in the blog below to create a panel portrait. Your panel portrait must have at least 7 panels!!!
Turn it in as #_PP_lastnamefirstname.jpg

Here is my example:
1. Pick a close up portrait you have taken that has a good exposure and is sharp.
2. Open the image in PS.
3. Go to your Layer > New fill layer > Solid color.
4. Choose a color that you like to fill the layer.
5. Duplicate your background image ( the portrait) by clicking COMMAND and J
6. Bring the duplicate layer (background copy) to the top layer. it should now look like this:
7. Select the rectangle tool (NOT THE RECTANGULAR MARQUEE TOOL).
8. Select the shapes options at the left of the menu bar.
10. Draw a vertical panel. Make sure there is a FILL color and Stroke on your rectangle.
11. Use COMMAND and T to rotate and transform it.
12. Move the shape RECTANGLE layer below your background copy by dragging the layer down.
13. You are going to make a clipping mask. A clipping mask allows you to create an effect that will only be applied to ONE LAYER!!
To do this, you must hold down CONTROL and then CLICK on the background layer that is above the rectangle layer.
**Notice there is a little Arrow pointing down when you create a clipping mask. this lets you know where the effect is taking place.
14. Click on the Rectangle/shape layer.
15. Go to Layer > Layer Style > Drop Shadow. Make sure your drop shadow is at least 10px distance of more. While the layer style panel is ope, click on STROKE. Add a 3 point inside stroke any color you want.
REPEAT steps 5-15 until you have create your face in panels.
