What: Learning the technical applications of the camera, specifically aperture and how it effects a photo.
How: Going out to shoot manually, specifically adjusting the f/stop, and comparing the different photos to see visual differences.
POINT YOUR CAMERA TO THE SCREEN
Take four photos of the same object, changing the exposure of each one. Your settings will be as follows:
ISO 100 f/22 @ 1/100
ISO 100 f/16 @ 1/100
ISO 100 f/8 @ 1/100
ISO 100 f/5.6 @ 1/100

OUTSIDE

**NOTE How does each image change?
INSIDE
1. Once you come in, put your camera away correctly and take your memory card to your desk.
2. Drag your photos to your folder on your desktop. Remove your memory card and put it away.
3. Get the handout and drag to your desktop. (think: where do we get handouts?) You will need to open the handout in Photoshop. Right click and select > Open With > Adobe Photoshop.
The handout will look like this:
Take a screenshot (shift+command+4) to turn your cursor into crosshairs, which will allow you to click and drag around the portion you wish to capture. The screenshots should appear on your desktop.
THEN, drag them into a photoshop document and align them vertically.
Remember to hold down the shift key when resizing your images.
Your final product should look something like this:
When you are done, go to FILE > Save As > Period_B_Lastname Firstname_Aperture > Format: JPEG > Save to DESKTOP
Drag your finished assignment to PHOTODROP!!
