Middle School

For SDUHSD middle schools, WorkAbility staff supports the development of students' career awareness by assisting case managers to administer vocational assessments that evaluate interests, by offering educational and career-related projects and activities, and by coordinating career exploration trips.

Teachers, parents and or students can request support from a WAI Vocation Developer (VD). Simply reach out to your student's casemanager to express your interest in support from WAI. Your casemanager can then reach out to the site VD to intiate WAI support.

Any student with an IEP is eligible to receive support from WorkAbility I (WAI).

CA Career Zone Registration Worksheet

• 7th Grade – California Career Zone: Quick Assessment Worksheet - Designed specifically for middle school students, an introduction to Holland's interest codes and an opportunity for students to begin thinking of their interests in terms of a possible college or career path.

• 8th Grade – California Career Zone: Interest Profiler Worksheet - Helps students determine what kinds of occupations and jobs they might want based on their interests.
