ALL students complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or CADAA (California Dream Act Application) to be considered for scholarships, grants, work study or loans from the federal government, state government and each college you are applying to.
You can apply for the FAFSA or CADAA beginning December this year. Apply in the fall so you don’t miss out on any aid you are eligible for!

You must submit the FAFSA/CADAA to attend 2 years of community college for free. Learn more about the Miracosta Promise.
In addition to completing the FAFSA/CADAA, students should apply for as many scholarships as they can! Check your colleges’ scholarship sites and the lists below.
Federal Student Aid Website - for information about the FAFSA and federal aid
California Student Aid Commission Website - for information about the CADAA, Cal Grants, and other state aid
CSS Profile Website - for information about the CSS Profile which is required for SOME colleges
Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) - CA students can attend participating out-of-state schools with reduced tuition rates
