1. California high school graduates may be eligible for two free years of tuition, which means you can save a lot of money when paying for your education.
2. Students can finish their general education requirements in smaller classroom settings.
3. California community colleges have agreements with California 4-year colleges and universities, which means there are great transfer opportunities.
4. Students can do 2+2. Two years at a community college and two years at a 4-year college= Bachelor's degree. There is no difference between a Bachelor's degree earned solely at a 4-year university and a Bachelor's degree earned by transferring from a community college.
5. Community colleges offer certificates and associate's degree programs that can prepare you for a career within 2 years or less.
