Miss. Finigan

1st Grade Teacher

My name is Elizabeth Finigan and I am thrilled to be your child’s first grade teacher this year! I have been teaching first grade at Enfield Elementary since 2012. Previously, I taught second grade for a year and a half. I was born and raised in Glen Mills, PA and am the oldest of three! I attended Penn State University at Penn State’s main campus and also have my master’s degree with a reading specialist certification.

In my spare time I love to read and I hope to instill that love of reading onto your child this year as well. I love spending as much time outdoors as possible whether it be hiking, going to the beach, or attending an Eagles game in the Fall (Go Birds!). I enjoy cooking and trying new foods from around the world. I have traveled across the United States from Maine to Hawaii and even as far across the world as Italy and Greece. I love music and keeping my students moving throughout the day.

I really enjoy teaching to a variety of learning styles in order to always keep class engaging, active, and fun. It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students and for them to truly look forward to coming to school everyday. I am excited for the new school year to begin!
