Our Preschool Curriculum and Programs
Handwriting:
Handwriting Without Tears is a research based program with a preschool component called Get Set for School. Get Set for School® helps young learners gain the skills and experiences they need for lifelong learning success. We encourage families to checkout the website, as there are many great resources for parents, games for kids, and printouts. To see a video about how letters are built with capital letter case cards in the classroom click here.
Math:
We support early math skills development through focused activities and learning centers in the classroom. These math skills include concepts such as, shape identification, patterning, number sense, counting, and quantity. These skills are fostered through activities such as calendar, small group centers, games, and play.
Literacy:
We support early math skills development through similar means, with activities and centers in the classroom. Literacy skills include concepts such as letter identification and letter sounds, phonological awareness skills such as rhyme, experience with books and text, pre-writing, and more. These skills are also developed through centers, games, and play.
Parent Resources:
We use Class Dojo to share updates, reminders, and photos, and will send an invitation to each family at the beginning of the school year.
