Every member of the Salpointe High School Pomline will be held accountable for their actions at all time, including time inside and outside of practice. If dancers’ actions are not in the best interest of the team or will in any way jeopardize the goals, expectation, reputation or well being of the team, they will adhere to the consequences the coach deems appropriate. Take personal responsibility to be a strong, trustworthy, and valuable team member.

* RESPECT: All dancers must show respect to coach, team members, administration, parents, outside guests, and choreographers.
* COMMUNICATION: In order to have a successful team, all lines of communication must be open between the coach, captains, team members, and parents.
* DEDICATION: Each dancer is expected to be at all practices and performances giving 110% at all times.
* SUPPORT: Everyone is to show support for our program. Without support from all parties; dancers, parents and coach, we cannot effectively build a strong and cohesive team.
* PRIDE: Show pride in your role as a member of the Pomline and as a representative of Salpointe Catholic High School. It is an honor to be a part of this talented and united group.
Performance
Dancing by any member at any performance/competition is at the discretion of the coach. Even if a member is not performing, she attends all practices and will attend all activities/performances dressed in Salpointe Pomline attire, whether it is a dance uniform, school uniform, Pomline polo shirt or warm-ups.
The purpose of evaluations is to build consistency of the dancer and the team as a whole. Dancers need to remember every time they perform in front of a crowd they are being observed by their peers, parents and school faculty. At competitions they are being observed by other schools and the judges. So, anytime a dancer is performing in front of a crowd they are being evaluated. It should be each members desire to always perform at their best and have others look at them in awe – not shock.
Team evaluations will take place during practice the Tuesday before an event. Regarding competition pieces the evaluation will be two weeks prior to the event. If you are on Kairos we will evaluate before you leave.
Practice/Attendance
* All Practices are MANDATORY! Schedule all work, appointments, etc. around practice time.
* All dancers should take dance classes during the season.
* Bring poms, running shoes, and a warm-up layer, to all practices.
* In order for practices to start promptly, tardiness will not be accepted without a note from a parent, teacher, or administrator. Plan ahead and allow enough time to arrive prepared to work.
* In an attempt to maintain a minimum number of practices throughout the season, each dancer should make every effort to correct mistakes, which are identified by the coach and/or teammates.
* Any dancer absent from practice is expected to learn any new information or material taught before the following rehearsal. This is to be done outside of regular practice time. Failure to take responsibility for this will be left to the discretion of the coach.
* The coach will determine if an absence is considered excused (i.e. funeral, illness with doctor’s note, school sponsored trip/activity)
* Absences within a week of a competition or performance may result in changes in formations or suspension from that performance.
Concerns/Conflicts
All problems, questions or concerns should be brought directly to the attention of the coach in order to bring a quick resolution. Conflicts will be dealt with in a professional and confidential manner.
Expenses
As with any sport there is a monetary obligation for each dancer. Due to the nature of our uniforms, many of the pieces need to be purchased by the dancer. Shoes, tights, bloomers, bodysuits, socks, makeup, etc. should not be shared for health reasons. These prices are subject to change as they are dependent on vendor price changes. Other cost may occur during the year, and they will be kept to a minimum.
The following is an estimated cost of what new members may incur. Items include; camp, practice clothes, uniform, bloomers, poms, bows, and shoes will be about $2,500.00. *State tax credit funds cannot be applied to team fee. NOTE: All competition Pomline members have extra cost for competition costumes, choreography, competition fees and travel.
Fundraising
Each member is expected to take an active role in all team fundraisers. Fundraised monies do not lower the dancer's program fee. All parents are expected to take an active role in supporting the team. This will make your dancer’s experience and your experience as part of the team even better.

Please take into consideration when you choose to go, make sure that it is not during an upcoming performance or competition, as well as talking to the coach before you register for a retreat.
