About Us

PURPOSE

The Salpointe Catholic High School Pomline supports the athletic programs at SCHS, while also attending/supporting campus and community events. The program is designed to help the development of the athlete as a student, dancer, and good citizen on campus and in the local community.

SCHS Pomline also competes annually on the state level with AIA, and on the regional and national level with Universal Dance Association or United Spirit Association competitions.

MISSION

Provide dancers with a successful and meaningful educational experience. By providing instruction in the best interest of the dancers, both physically and intellectually, incorporating teaching techniques and music, which are audience appropriate. The dancers exhibit good sportsmanship, positive attitudes toward team members, competitors, school, and parents.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES

• Strives for personal goals of high academic achievement, increasing their dance ability, learning effective time management, and forming strong friendships. 

• To perform/execute sidelines, cheers, and dance routines with perfect athleticism at SCHS athletic events/games

• To keep the crowd’s attention/focus on the field or floor where activities are taking place for entertainment and competitive purposes

• To lead the cheers; to raise the level of fan support for athletics; to entertain in a positive manner and to give visual support for the team; to solicit support from SCHS fans

• To uphold, reflect, and project the goals and ideals of the School; to appear at SCHS activities, functions, and programs, at charitable and public causes to promote the School at campus and community events

• In all matters and policies concerning pomline it is required for each squad member to execute good citizenship and sportsmanship while representing SCHS
