Bullying & Reporting

Royal Elementary School Faculty and Staff are committed to the prevention of bullying, to creating a safe and supportive school climate, and to educating both students and parents how to recognize and report bullying the as soon as it is suspected.

Bullying can be defined as repetitive unwanted aggressive behavior that includes the use of an imbalance of power (e.g., physical strength, embarrassing information, or popularity].

When adults respond to bullying consistently and quickly, it sends the message that bullying is unacceptable.

Encourage your child to report bullying immediately to a trusted adult (school administrators, school counselors, teachers, etc) if they are bullied or if they witness others being bullied.

If you suspect that your child is experiencing bullying behavior at school [physically, socially, verbally, cyber or any combination of those listed], contact your school counselor immediately.

For counseling related issues requiring psychological or psychiatric consultation or referrals, please contact your child’s school counselor for a list of local resources.
