About the Counselors

Karen Perez and Lakisha Murray are the School Counselors for Royal Elementary. We are eager to get to know our Falcon students and parents.

I am a former 1st & 2nd grade teacher of 11 years!

I am a mom of a sweet boy and I have been married for ten years.

I have a BIG American Bulldog named Sophie!

I love reading and purchasing children's books to share with my students.

I advocate for all students. Every student is unique and special in their own way!

I am passionate about school counseling and helping others!

-I was a Special Education Teacher for most of my career.

-I taught English & Language Arts early in my teaching career.

-I am a former Behavior Specialist.

-I love to read, and I want to incorporate that into my counseling practice to instill a love for reading in children.

-I believe that all children have unique gifts, strengths, and talents.

-I have a strong passion for helping children become the best versions of themselves through the teaching of good character values and the practice of making good choices.
