I graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a lifetime secondary teaching certificate in grades 6-12.

Teaching is my dream job. I absolutely LOVE it. This is my 30th year teaching English language arts and my 6th year at Cedar Valley Middle School where I also sponsor the National Junior Honor Society and Student Council.

I value family and believe in the power of parental involvement in education. For me, teaching is not just what I do for a living. It is a piece of my heart and my purpose on this earth.
