*Angled Two Tee Drill

Goal:

  • Encourage proper bat angle at contact

Setup:

  • Normal stance and setup for hitting off a tee

  • Add a second tee for guidance (or other soft barrier that won’t get damaged or damage your bat)

    • Next to the hitting tee between the hitting tee and hitter

    • The top of the tee should be the same height as the top of the ball on the hitting tee

    • Nothing goes on top of the guidance tee

Process:

  • Hit the ball

Checkpoints:

  • The bat should be angled up enough that it hits the middle of the ball without touching the guidance tee

  • The ball should be hit straight and slightly up

Notes/Thoughts:

This is part of the Alabama hitting drill arsenal. It does a good job of correcting flat swings with a barrier for feedback or re-enforcing good technique of a well angled bat through the strike zone.
