*Angled Two Tee Drill
Goal:
Encourage proper bat angle at contact
Setup:
Normal stance and setup for hitting off a tee
Add a second tee for guidance (or other soft barrier that won’t get damaged or damage your bat)
Next to the hitting tee between the hitting tee and hitter
The top of the tee should be the same height as the top of the ball on the hitting tee
Nothing goes on top of the guidance tee
Process:
Hit the ball
Checkpoints:
The bat should be angled up enough that it hits the middle of the ball without touching the guidance tee
The ball should be hit straight and slightly up
Notes/Thoughts:
This is part of the Alabama hitting drill arsenal. It does a good job of correcting flat swings with a barrier for feedback or re-enforcing good technique of a well angled bat through the strike zone.
