Tutorial

If your students need to "see" you write as you explain a concept, connecting your iPad as a separate display during a Zoom meeting is a great option.

The first time you connect your iPad to your Macbook (via cable), more than likely, you will be prompted to download software. Once the software is installed, you will be prompted to "unlock" your iPad screen, and select trust. This could take anywhere from 2 minutes to 20 minutes depending on your internet connection.

After the software is installed, you will be able to select your iPad as a separate display when you share your screen in Zoom. This will allow you to write on your iPad screen as you instruct your students. Be sure to record your Zoom meeting, so that you can upload the meeting so that students unable to attend your Zoom meeting can benefit from your instruction.

Apps that I have installed on my iPad that allow me to write are: Microsoft OneNote, Whiteboard, Visualizer, Showbie, Sketches,Doceri, INKredible, Explain Everything, UPAD lite, and Notability ($9.99).
