Homework Policy

Students will have a weekly homework packet that goes home each Friday. It is due the following Friday morning. There will be no homework on weekends, unless you would like your child to start the packet. In additions it is expected that your child will read at least 20 minutes nightly.

We will be using the Wonders reading Curriculum as well as 4 class novels: Each quarter will consist of 3-4 Wonders stories from our text book. There will be a test after each Wonders story for students to demonstrate mastery of corresponding skills. In addition to Wonders, there will be approximately 4 weeks of a literature study each quarter. Our novels this year will be:

Your child should be able to do most assignments independently, but please help your child when needed. If you notice that your child is not able to complete an assignment by him/herself, please make a note on the packet or email me at kvansteenhuyse@pvlearners.net.

I will also contact you if your child is falling behind or turning in poor work.
